The 2019 Illinois Walk-Run-N-Roll will be held Sunday, September 15th at Willow Stream Park in Buffalo Grove, IL.
On-site registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with opening remarks followed by guest speakers, a ceremonial walk, and much more!
Participants can take part in the 1-mile, non-competitive Walk-Run-N-Roll on a paved course through the park. Or, join our new official cheering section! The day is all about fun, family, and friends!
This is the second year in a row we will be at Willow Stream Park, and the fifth Walk-Run-N-Roll overall! We hope this will be the biggest and best year yet.
These events allow members of our community to come together to share stories, experiences, and form lasting relationships all while increasing awareness of these rare neuroimmune disorders; and raising funds that allow us to continue providing much needed educational programs, like the Rare Neuroimmune Disorders Symposium and Ask the Expert podcasts; family programs and support, such as the Quality of Life Family Camp; and ground-breaking research to advance scientific understanding of these disorders and aid in the development of acute and restorative therapies.
This year we will again be entertained by the world-renowned Jesse White Tumblers! If you were present last year, you know how awesome they are. In addition, there will be wheelchair basketball, face painting, a DJ, snacks, door prizes and much more. Free event shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please join us and make some new friends, or reconnect with some old ones. This is a rare disease community so whether you are a person diagnosed, a caregiver, a friend or family member, a medical professional, make sure you come out and show your support because we are all in this together.
More details to come, but since you made it this far you should go ahead and register today! It’s free!
