Due to the precautions surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak we are moving all upcoming support group meetings to an online forum.
On Wednesday, April 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., we will host a virtual support group meeting using Zoom. This is an opportunity for our community to come together in these difficult times to offer support and fellowship.
If you are planning to attend, please RSVP below to receive the login information. We are capping each meeting at a maximum of 25 attendees. The first 25 people to RSVP will receive the login information. We hope to have these meetings on a weekly basis to accommodate our entire community. We are also working on securing dates for guest speakers from our medical council. Once those dates are finalized, we will announce them in future emails.
Here are the details for the online support group meeting that will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8.
First, make sure your computer or phone is compatible with Zoom. There will be a link included in a follow-up email to test your system once you RSVP.
Also, please make sure you mute yourself when you are not speaking. The presenter is able to mute and unmute attendees, but it is easier if we all work together to ensure there is no background noise. Along those same lines, we recommend using headphones if possible. It helps eliminate feedback and makes it easier for attendees to hear more clearly.
Zoom allows for video and audio options. You are welcome to join via your computer and webcam device or you can simply call in via phone. There is no requirement to turn on your camera if you do not want to. If you do attend by phone, you will need to enter the Access Code provided in the login information.
We will start on time as to respect everyone’s schedule.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns before or during the meeting, please contact Jeremy Bennett at [email protected] and he will assist you.
