We are pleased to announce our very first MI Support Group Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT at the Family Center on Level 2 of C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital (University of Michigan Health System).
Individuals diagnosed with TM, AFM, NMOSD, ON, ADEM, families, caregivers, parents, and siblings (children as well as adults) are invited to join us for a morning of connecting with others who share similar experiences in our Michigan community. We look forward to the opportunity to get to know and support each other as we navigate living with a diagnosis of a rare neuroimmune disorder or caring for someone we love with ADEM, TM (including AFM), NMO, or ON. Your participation and voice will be key in planning the agenda for future meetings!
Dr. Cynthia Wang (2016 James T. Lubin Fellowship Award recipient) and Rebecca Whitney, SRNA Pediatric Program Manager, will be hosting the event and are looking forward to meeting you! Dr. Wang received her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and completed a pediatrics and pediatric neurology residency at Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
