New Learning Course for Patients

SRNA recently partnered with Dr. Benjamin Greenberg of UTSW to create the first-ever micro-learning course in the field of rare neuroimmune disorders to help patients better understand their disorders. The importance of these courses is highlighted by the lack of understanding and detailed knowledge that many rare neuroimmune patients feel they have about their diagnosis. These courses were developed to help teach participants in a way that is best for them, as some people may learn differently than others. This unique method of educating and engaging with those diagnosed will help participants advocate for themselves and their care.

There are six new disorder-specific online courses:

  1. Understanding Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM)
  2. Understanding Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM)
  3. Understanding MOG Antibody Disease (MOGAD)
  4. Understanding Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD)
  5. Understanding Optic Neuritis (ON)
  6. Understanding Transverse Myelitis (TM)

Please share this resource with your patients and their families to further support them with the knowledge and tools they need for better management and advocacy of their health.

If you have questions or would like to get involved in future iterations of our online micro-course program, please contact us at [email protected].
