SCOTLAND SUPPORT GROUP
Established in 2003, we have more than 100 members in Scotland and meet periodically in different venues throughout the country.
Whether you have Transverse Myelitis, ADEM, AFM, MOGAD, NMOSD, Optic Neuritis, or related conditions, sharing experiences with others living with the condition helps you to feel less isolated.
The objects for which the Scotland group is established are to:
- Provide information and support to those with Transverse Myelitis and related conditions (ADEM, AFM, Devic’s Disease or NMOSD, MOGAD, Optic Neuritis) and to their careers, friends, and/or families.
- Promote awareness to the public and professional sector about the conditions.
- Facilitate and support networking opportunities among members who are striving to ensure that the need for research is paramount to understanding correct diagnosis, causes, and treatment.
Membership of the group is open to all people with TM and its associated conditions living in Scotland and to their families, care-partners, and friends.
The group is a member of The Neurological Alliance of Scotland, Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland, registered with The Towpath Trust, The Princess Royal Trust for Careers in Scotland and NHS24.
