Cindy Kolbe
Author of Struggling with Serendipity
Cindy Kolbe lives in the Shenandoah Valley and signed her first book contract with a publisher in Fall 2018. Her memoir, Struggling with Serendipity, will be released in Spring 2019. It shares her story of a mom’s crisis, a daughter’s paralysis, and extraordinary travels. Cindy also has been a caregiver in many different settings and a lifelong disability advocate—even before her daughter Beth’s paralysis. She ran a nonprofit, managed group homes, and taught literacy at a state institution. She also writes a weekly blog and published 48 articles since 2016. Cindy is passionate about sharing her message: If you #NeverGiveUp, #HopeWins!
Tina Robbins

Tina Robbins graduated from Florida State University in 1994 with a Bachelors in Psychology. She proceeded on to St. Thomas University School of Law to obtain a Law Degree and began practicing in the field of Domestic Relations at the age of 27. Tina practiced in this field exclusively for 15 years with an emphasis on cases involving special needs children. She retired from practice of law in 2012 to solely care for her children. She has been married for 21 years to her high school sweetheart Jason Robbins who is a Board member for the Transverse Myelitis Association. Tina and Jason have 4 children: Zach, age 18, Sarah, age 17, who was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis in 2012, Charlie, age 12, and Jeremy, age 10. Tina and her husband have resided in Central Florida for the past 14 years and enjoy traveling, fundraising and spending time with the kids!
Katherine Treadaway, LCSW, MSCIR
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
Katherine Treadaway received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and Master of Social Work at Louisiana State University. She started her career at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center on their general medicine floor gaining social work experience on all the units there including telemetry, burn, oncology, OB-GYN, and the ER. She received her board certification in 1998 from the Louisiana State Board of Board Certified Social Work Examiners. When Katherine first moved to Dallas she worked as a case manager at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas on their physical rehabilitation unit for orthopedic and neurologic patients. Katherine has been at the Multiple Sclerosis Program at UT Southwestern since September 2002. She works with a dynamic multidisciplinary team in the MS Clinic and the Pediatric Demyelinating Disease clinic participating in research and patient care. She assists patients by serving as their advocate, locating resources, providing counseling, support and information, and arranging home and outpatient care. She also assisted in the development of the Total Life Care Clinic, a clinic within the MS Clinic, as well as participates in this weekly multidisciplinary clinic for at-risk patients.
