Center of Excellence in Rare Neuroimmune Disorders Update: Kennedy Krieger Institute International Center for Spinal Cord Injury

We are excited to share that Kennedy Krieger Institute International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI) is an SRNA Center of Excellence in Rare Neuroimmune Disorders (CERND)! Under the direction of Dr. Cristina Sadowsky, ICSCI has long provided patients in the rare neuroimmune community with exceptional care and rehabilitation services and has been an incredible partner over the years.

Dr. Sadowsky remarked, “ICSCI has served individuals with RNDs since its inception. The healthcare team at ICSCI recognizes the value of partnering with SRNA and participating in diverse projects that support this community, from medical and rehabilitative care to advanced education, resource providers, straight-up support for any aspect of life, using longstanding participation and experience. I also believe there is a proven partnership between SRNA and ICSCI, demonstrating common goals and optimal collaborative work.”

Last year, SRNA expanded the CERND designation to more institutions that offer comprehensive care to individuals diagnosed with ADEM, AFM, MOGAD, NMOSD, ON, and TM. Centers can now apply to become a CERND. We are committed to expanding our network of CERNDs and growing our partnerships with these exceptional institutions.
